THE ART OF STORYTELLING

Oh great, another presentation…but who says they all have to be black-and-white and bullet points? I believed even the most complex data can be transformed into something compelling through storytelling and thoughtful design. Below are a few examples of my earlier work that reflect this belief.

Merchandising Intern Project

My summer internship project was to analyze industry/demographic food trends and the product assortment within the dry grocery food categories to remove/make recommendations to the products and planogram(layout of the products in store).

HydroLift

The goal of this project was to create a business strategy for a product we designed, including 4 main business functions: finance, marketing, operations, and statistics. The final presentation was similar to shark tank, pitching our business and hope to get an “investor”.

MyDresser

This individual project was to create the information systems of an app that I would develop. The final project plan goes into depth of what the app is, use cases, data flow diagrams, the wireframe and much more.

 

Behind Sea Bars, LLC

The goal of this Business Law project was to create an LLC. Behind Sea Bars allowed customers to deep dive in cages with sharks, which comes with lots of risks and liabilities. The presentation details what an LLC, the pros/cons, why it’s best for our business and more!

Facebook Deductive Argument

For this presentation in my Management Communications class, I was the “Policy Communications Manager” at Facebook. During this time, Facebook was dealing with lawsuits. The presentation was my plan to save the company using deductive reasoning.

Hulu Inductive Argument

For this presentation in my Management Communications class, I was an “executive” at Hulu who wanted to pitch to the leadership of why they should look into 5G by using inductive reasoning. During this time, 5G was beginning of come out and break news.

 

Navinna Hospital

This was a case study based on a hospital in Sri Lanka. The final presentation has an “As-Is” and the recommended '“To-Be” BPMN. The presentation details our plan to implement new information systems that will bring operational efficiency to the hospital.

Redhat

This goal of this project from my Organizational Behavior class was to shadow a company and present on their business culture. The presentation is an analysis of the company’s team dynamics, motivation, leadership, and more.

Equifax

This case study project in my Business Ethics class is based on Equifax’s data breach. It includes research done on their marketing, operations, financial, and corporate social responsibility pre and post-scandal and what we recommend the company do.
